Confusion reigned last night as 2000 music fans queued outside a convenience store in Bridlington.
The mix-up occurred as the Rolling Stones launched their world tour with a secret gig planned for Bridlington Spa, yet mistakenly arrived at a Spar ‘8 till late’, just off the High Street.

No one was more shocked than manager Ranjit Kohli, “I was following Mrs. Phillips round with the mop, she’d come in to buy her daily wad of Tena Lady, when who should walk in but Mick Jagger. It was such a shock that I nearly drenched the floor myself.”
“Then before I knew it, Keith Richards was suggestively sniffing some Pataks cook-in spices while Ronnie Wood rubbed up against a copy of Bliss. Oh, and then some other bloke showed up who I didn’t recognise. Like most people I lost interest after Bill Wyman left.”
The band then proceeded to unload their equipment, dismissing all of Mr. Kohli’s concerns that they were at the wrong venue. Richards apparently told him to “Dance an Icelandic Cha Cha, man,” whilst Jagger was reported to have said, “Stop looking at me, I’m not interested. I’m straight I tell you, straight!”
Despite early upsets one fan, Dylan Pickles, was amazed by the unusual performance, “They were fantastic, it was just like when the Beatles played on the roof-top that time, although Mick was partially obscured by the Deli counter and Keith’s guitar pedal kept setting off the lottery machine.”
The Stones themselves said that they loved every minute of it. A statement from the band read, “We dig you man, we can’t wait till we visit Hull next year at the end of the tour. Rock on HRI! We’ve heard it’s got a cracking theatre.”
